The maintenance at HP is amazing. They turn around and fix things the same day. The buildings are a bit old, but well-maintained. And I don't think one can get a good single-bedroom apt with good maintenance for a rent of $610 with a washer and dryer in it. (Now the rate is like $635).

And unlike some single-gate apartment complexes where you have to drive around a lot to get to your building, I had acces to my apartment from all directions. In addition, Hunters Pointe is right on 69S from which you can get on 35, 435, or 635 very very easily.

Especially convenient for people working at Sprint or Black and Veatch.

I had to move out 2 months early, but I found a friend to move in, so only had to pay rent until the day he moved in.

And from my refundable deposit of $150, they withheld only $70 for cleaning and replacing the Drip Pans.

AND HERE'S THE BIGGEST FEATURE OF HP :

Intercom. Outer doors. This means :

1. You don't need to lock doors when you go out for short periods
2. Heating / Cooling costs are much less.
3. You feel safe.

A lot of luxury apartments don't have an intercom - buzz in facility. When I need to go somewhere shopping, I usually just walk out, and don't bother to lock, except if I go for a weekend or more.

Whatever - this sounds more like an ad for Hunter's Pointe than an actual review. I find it difficult to believe someone who thinks it's okay to "just walk out without bothering to lock the door" - what planet do they live on anyway?? I agree the location is great, and the cost is not bad. In my opinion, the apartments aren't well maintained, just made to look decent at first glance. The staff is not the greatest - somewhat unprofessional and can be really rude if you happen to go in when they are chatting on their cell phones (no wonder they rarely answer the office phone). My advice is to look around, check the condition of everything carefully before moving in, and above all, LOCK YOUR DOOR.
