My family lived there for about 5 years, not because it was so wonderful, but if was affordable. The first couple of years were fine. But the resident population seemed to get worse and worse. There were more break-ins and more suspicious activities in recent years. People would let their young children play in the parking lots and run around after dark. My car was broken into once. Also if you are late paying rent (and I just mean by a day or two) even one time, don't expect a good reference from them in the future. Kind of childish in my opinion. I can say that I did get most of my deposit back and they were usually pretty prompt with maintenence requests. All in all it's not horrible, but in my opinion it has become less family friendly as far as security. Don't let your kids run around unsupervised, no matter how old they are! If you can afford to, look around some more before signing.
