Not Too Sure

We've lived here for just about 6 months and aren't too impressed with the place. When we first moved in, the staff was friendly. Now they don't seem knowledgeable or willing to help. The maintenance staff is slow and I've heard stories from other residents that they will 'mark' a task complete when in fact, they just didn't do it. The maintenance staff is friendly though, and after talking to them, it seems they're overworked and underpaid. (Aren't we all, though')
It is a bug haven here, also. We call about once a month for the exterminator, but still can't get rid of the spiders, beetles and crickets. We did have a problem with ants for about 4 months. I'm sure they'll come back.
I do feel safe that the patrol guys are out there at night. Maybe they are 'rent-a-cops' but at least someone's looking out for the place. I do feel that I can walk outside alone at night, but I would never ever let my children play outside alone - that's just common sense, though.
Although this place hasn't lived up to our standards, it is affordable and spacious. We don't have a problem with noise. Sure we hear car alarms, but sometimes it's one of our cars! I'd rather be safe than sorry. Parking has gotten worse in the past few months, but more residents have moved in.
I can honestly say, though, that we will not renew our lease here unless it's absolutely necessary.
