There is no where to begin when it comes to describing The Lodge. The overall word to explain The Lodge is Disgusting. When I moved in, yes, I didn't know what I was looking for. But once I signed the lease and started moving in, I soon found out it was going to be a LONG year. The leasing agent did not show me the apartment I would be moving into - which would have made a HUGE impact on whether to sign the lease, but again, I did not know better. I DID NOT receive a check list for the overall condition of the apartment, which scares me now because I do know better.
When I moved in, the carpet was covered in urine. I complained and complained to the office. It took them a week to come and 'reshampoo' it. Reshampoo' Shouldn't the carpet have been replaced if there was urine on the carpet from the previous tenent' After they shampooed the carpet, the stain nor the smell came out. They told me that they couldn't replace the carpet because I had already moved in. As the months passed, I soon realized numerous problems. The sockets in my apartment were not connected to the actual wall. Everytime I pull out a plug, the whole socket comes out. The carpet was laid over a socket in the floor. Fire Hazard! The shower head comes out of the wall. The Toilet - till this day leaks around the rim. 4 light bulbs were out when I moved in. The balcony light is still out, when I requested it be fixed the first night I stayed in the apartment. As for the 'so' called pest control that comes around, they might as well be spraying water. All they sprayed, was the kitchen. Why not around the back door, the front door, and the WHOLE perimeter of the apartment' Even when the kitchen was sprayed, still ants showed. When I signed my lease, I signed up for free trash pick up. Not anymore. Now there are unattractive dumpsters around the complex. Yet, the trash still gets dumped at the front of my building, and no one comes around to clean it. It sure isn't my job to clean it when I pitch out rent every month. What about a nice place to get your mail. Half the time, some mail boxes are hanging from their hinges. Who keeps breaking into people's mail boxes' Parking. What parking' -------- and their rent-a-cars are taking up space for us hard working Americans. I also had a problem with my air conditioner this summer. It took them 3 days to get to my apartment. I called repeatedly. The offices first excuse - The air conditioning repair men have gone home. (well why did I sign a lease with 24 hour maintenance for'). 2nd excuse - There are 15 apartments with broken air conditioning units ahead of you. 3rd excuse - we don't have the part you need. 4th excuse - (with it being 91 degrees outside) THERE IS NO HEAT ADVISORY SO YOU CAN WAIT TILL TOMORROW. To inform the Dumb, when it is 91 degrees outside, doesn't mean it is 91 degrees inside my little apartment. I lost 12 fish to their lack of responsibility. Shows how Greystar doesn't care about their residents. They aren't even locally owned. They have no idea what's going on. I can't wait to leave. This place is joke. Along with the crap they feed their future residents.
