I used to live here! Worst ------- decision of my life.
Problems:
*Change management every 2 months
*Current management will call you every name in the book to your face and spit on you if it they could get away with it.
*Roaches in my cereal box
*No parking
*Roaches that love to greet company
*Questionable "legal tenants"
*Roaches that greet you in the morning as you pull off your blanket
*Trash service and Trash Bins move on a daily basis
*Cable service is run out of a "----------" apartment and a cable line is branched out to every apartment building, you pay $50 a month to "----" he laughs at you and shares his Sucker funds with his "Questionably Legal Brothers, Sisters, Cousins etc"
*Roaches
*Don't waste your money, the low attractive rent is not worth it.
*People have been raped here!
*Break ins are occasional
***To all the people who want out***
I signed a year lease and I got out no strings attached 2 months later! Wanna know how'!
1. There is a clause in your lease that says that the Lodge of Overland Park must be given 2 opportunities to fix any problem you have.
2. Write a written notice explaining what your problems are, date it, sign it keep a copy for yourself
3. If 2 weeks pass and they don't fix your problem, according to the clause The Lodge of Overland Park has failed you and you are free from you lease. Send another letter to the office but this time vaguely explain that if the problems aren't fix in the near future you want to leave. Wait another 2 weeks.
4. Call the office and asks for the property manager's supervisior phone number if they refuse this helps your cause, document it. Ask the property manager personally for it, he has to give it you.
5. The right phone number should come from Greystar management located in KCMO
6. The property owner/supervisor is a nice lady named ----- (unless it has changed) explain to her that you have given written notice to the office to fix your problems, but they have failed. Explain to her that their clause was broken and you want out of your lease, you just can't take it anymore. She will try to save you as a tenant, but stick to your guns. A contract is a contract. Explain to her that you have followed the clause, written two notices, and now she must comply, period.
7. Pack your ----, and run...freedom...sweet freedom
8. Don't ever rent from Greystar again.

I hope this helps anyone who wants to get out: If you need more help, feel free to email me at synnjay23@hotmail.com. I will gladly help you

Sincerly
A former tenant
