My main complaint at the time was that a couple of birds got down the chimney and the office said to light a fire. Well they were struggling and trying to get up. So, I lit a fire and all it did was heat up the metal and then I could here the bird flopping around so it was more torture. Then the maggots came after that (all around the base of the fireplace). So, they put a screen up (to block animals coming in the attic) and trapped in a squirrel that fell down the chute and I could here it frantically trying to claw it's way up because you know it was down on top of the dead birds. The neighbor across from me had the same thing with a bird and the maggots. It appeared there was no way to rescue these animals and this had to have been happening to these poor animals for years without a block on the top of the chimneys. It's a bad memory to think about and they should have called that critter company to bash in the wall or something. At the time calling a critter company didn't come to my mind. I also had ants once a year in my kitchen. I was there 18 months and you get a lot more for your money in Missouri. JOCO is overrated. The clubhouse isn't even for the tenants at Pebblebrook. The employees treat it as their living room and kitchen. The pool is way too small. The whole hearing the animals suffer and dead animal thing was such a turn off and they acted like they could have cared less.
