I leased a 2-bedroom upper unit apartment from Plaza Gardens South from 7/02 through 07/03. I consider myself to have been a model tenant never calling maintenance or logging a complaint about the numerous cars parked all along the curb. But I was treated very poorly & I feel that others should be forewarned that it could happen to them. Not only was I forced to pay 1 ? times my rent the last month because I didn?t give them exactly to the day, 60-days notice. Prior to moving out, I requested a cleaning checklist from management so that I had an idea of what they expected so that I could guarantee that I had met their standards. I was told that they did not have anything like this but to just make it look clean, clean the windows & have the carpets professionally cleaned. I spent 2-days cleaning the apartment & garage to make it ?move in ready? for the next tenant. When I received my deposit check a month after moving out, I was penalized for ?miscellaneous cleaning?. I challenged PGS to give me a list of what items did not meet their standards & they could not provide me with any information. When I told them that I had consulted with any attorney, they told me to do whatever I needed to do but they were standing their ground. When you go into PGS usually you will find the employees on the Internet or on the phone with a friend. It is evident that you are not the priority. The buildings are constructed very poorly & I could hear my neighbors below me & next to me in conversation when they were home. From the street, these appear to be nice apartments but I caution you to take most of the reviews to heart & know that it will be more trouble & stress in the end than it is worth.
