Nickled and Dimed to death

At first I liked the fact that these were condo style and had an upstairs.
However, the staff runs this complex as if the residents were piggy banks to extract money from when ever they want. They have a ton of fees for everything.
For example, you are supposed to carry your trash out and put it in the grass in front of your apartment. If you put it out at the wrong time a note shows up on your door for a $25 charge and they won't accept your rent without paying this fee.
I understand you have to run a tight ship but when you are paying over $1000 per month for an apartment you would think that they would be more customer friendly.
In fact any time they want to charge you a fee they leave a note on your door with threats that your next months rent will be considered late if you don't pay the first fee which creates another fee that you have to pay.
You would think if the residents were important customers to the complex they would at least give a courtesy phone call for first infractions.
I guess I am just used to a higher level of service. Maybe they have alot of scumbag types living on the property. Whatever the reason I would not live here again due to the lack of customer service and threatening fee notes showing up on your door.

Also, the complex is not well insulated so you will pay a higher cost for heating and cooling and there is some mysterious formula for figuring your water bill so you never know what you are being charged for by Amgen.

I am rating the staff low for the impersonal notes and threatening notes with their fees that they deliver and the lack of appreciation these types of tactics connote.
A higher level of service would be demonstrated by a more personal touch and courtesy calls.

I agree. You ARE nickled and dimed to death at this complex. It makes no sense that they won't accept your rent if you don't pay one of their asinine imposed fees, and they also won't accept it if you haven't paid your water bill either. And the "valet trash" service? They charge you $8 a month for it! I can walk my own trash to the dumpster but then how would they collect their $25 if you put your trash out at the wrong time (they actually dig through the trash to see if they can find something with your name/address on it). Oh, and don't even get me started on the old-a** appliances I have in my unit. Lord knows they need to replace those 100 year-old HOTPOINT appliances. I bet June Cleaver probably used the same model of fridge, washer, dryer and stove that I have. Needless to say, I'm NOT RENEWING MY LEASE THIS SPRING and will gladly pay more rent if that means modern appliances. Lastly, the notes on the door are ANNOYING and does NOTHING to build at least a cordial relationship between tenant and manager. Granted, I'm sure they don't have time to call everybody about everything, but how much time does it take to compose the note, print it and then deliver it??????? I love the location - HATE THE PROPERTY AND THE MANAGEMENT........

I feel your pain. The very same thing happened to a family member of ours. You would think with all of the unnecessary charges they collect from you that they would at least spend it on cleaning the dump up. They are located in the heart of Johnson County and the place is a hole in the ground. They need to tear it all down and start over. The management or at least that is what they call themselves act like they work for a pay day loan company. They look you in the eye and lie like big dogs. How they lay down to sleep at night amazes me. They left a pointe royal van sit in their own parking lot for months with flat tires. PEOPLE LOOK DEEP BEFORE YOU MOVE IN AS YOU WILL REALLY BE RIPPED OFF IN THE END. AND THE TENANTS THEY RENT TO ARE AS NASTY AS THE STAFF THAT IS EMPLOYED THERE. The manager could be sent to school to learn how to deal with people but it would be a waste of money. Those skills are learned from birth so it's too late now. All I can say is SHAME ON ANYONE for renting from the losers. Tell everyone you know to stay away, far, far away. Living in a trailer would be much nicer.
