I have to tell you, when I signed the lease at this complex, things were looking up. Many improvements had been made and the management staff (at that time) made a lot of pretty promises, including that the doors/windows were to be replaced in the coming months. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED. As I look out into the common courtyard right now, I can only see 3 apartments with a sliding screen door that is not damaged or completely off the building. Last winter, we could feel the cold air coming in around the windows and the sliding glass door.
The guttering is old and falling off the buildings, creating horrible drainage issues. With all the rain we have had recently, anyone considering this place should be aware that the ENTIRE grounds flood anytime there's a hard rain. I have a leak above my sliding glass door that I have reported every time it has rained, as it normally fills a small bowl with water after a good hour of rain. Maintenance comes by, usually three to four days later, and leaves a note on my counter saying they have "caulked" the problem. Just last week, I reported that my bathtub had started draining slow, five days later I have heard nothing. My bathtub is now not draining at all and when I called the office during normal business hours, the phone rang 15 times before I finally hung up, double checked the number, and called again. The second time I let it ring 10 times. There was no answer and no option to leave a voicemail or contact maintenance, so now I am forced to try to clear my drain on my own just so I can shower.
There has been an increase of break ins in the complex, both in the apartments and residents' cars. They will rent to anyone who can pay the the first month, so we have recently acquired quite a few shady people. I rent a carport, and recently all four of the flood lights for the carport were broken out; it took two weeks after I reported this before maintenance repaired it. Neighbors have loud parties every weekend, making parking for anyone without a carport impossible. People come and go (loudly) at all hours of the day and night, although the community is supposed to have "quiet hours". There are dogs barking constantly and unruly young children (3-5 years old) running around without any apparent supervision...screaming, fighting, and stealing things from other peoples' patios (including mine).
It is written into the lease that in order to break the lease, you have to pay the remainder. As I cannot afford the to pay the remaining portion of my lease up front, I will be moving my daughter and I to a relative's house until the lease is complete and I can move somewhere safer, cleaner, and with a better office/maintenance staff. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd

honestly...no. especially if you have babies...the windows are so horribly drafty that I had to have a space heater in each bedroom besides running the heat in the apt just to keep things from freezing. it seems like a good complex and they have a lot of great deals...but the answer to everything is a little bit of caulk or a little bit of paint. I'm really disappointed with my experience here. best of luck!

I currently live here and do not plan to renew my lease when it is up in Sept. I agree that the flooding is horrible. I have an upstairs apartment but the neighbors below will get a couple of inches of standing water on their patio. If it rains hard enough it will leak in around our sliding glass door as well.
Several months ago neighbors below us moved out to do a cockroach issue that the apt complex could not fix. After several months of the below apt being empty we started to get roaches. Not your normal sized roaches either, very large (2-3inches)!
I also have had issues getting a hold of the office staff since they have changed hands. I often call during business hours and only get the voicemail system or several rings and no voicemail. In the 9 months we have been here we already have 13 maintenance requests.
That is my little diatribe for the day. The apts are nice priced and nice size but beware.

I had the roach problem on move-in, too. But after a couple rounds of spraying, they are gone. The exterminator explained the type of bug to me and set up traps so he could determine where they were entering. I felt the complex did a very good job addressing and fixing the problem.
