I moved to Preston Court the end of 2008. So far, management has delivered on all property improvements they told me about at move in. It is very nice that they care about the upkeep and updating of the property and they always keep the grounds looking good. I have had some maintenance issues, but they are ALWAYS handled in a very timely manner and to my satisfaction, WITH follow up from the staff.

My unit was spotless on move in with new carpet and fresh paint, updated kitchen appliances and new fixtures throughout.

The managers and office staff have changed a couple times since I moved in, but everyone is pleasant, competent, and accomodating.

I came from a complex that did not allow pets, and I am afraid of dogs, so I was worried about off leash animals, waste, and the like. But pet owners are always courteous and I don't even hear barking dogs on the property.

Parking has not been a problem, to date. I rent a carport, and really like to have it when it snows, so I don't have to clean my car off. There is usually ample parking, even late at night. I have not experienced any door dings or things of that nature.

The property seems secure and safe. The other night while my neighbor was getting something from his car, he was approached by Overland Park PD. I know the incident was probably frustrating to my neighbor, but I was glad to see that the officer noticed someone rummaging through a car at 1am and took interest enough to investigate. I have yet to observe noisy parties, loitering, or other such undesired activity on the property. My neighbors are friendly, yet not nosey or intrusive.

The location of the complex is such that my kids can ride the bus at no charge to the middle school and high school, and the local elementary school is directly behind the property.

Overall, I have had a very good experience with Preston Court apartments and I definitely plan to stay a while. I am not secretly with management or being paid in any type of way for this review. Before moving to Overland Park, I did a lot of research on different complexes and I read reviews on this site and took what was posted to heart. I would not want anyone to pass up at least looking at Preston Court due to any negative reviews.
