Great place until move out

It was definitely the best value for the money at the time we signed the lease. We had no problems with maintenance requests. We were present for check-out inspection. All went well with that, they just commented that their carpet cleaning company would have to inspect the carpet.

Turns out the carpet cleaning company couldn't get a section of hallway carpet clean. AMLI sent us a bill to replace all the carpet in the apartment 2 years early (it was 3 year old carpet with a 5 year life).

We wanted to negotiate the charge for carpet. They wouldn't budge until we sued in small claims court. They offered to negotiate the day before the trial.
