Wouldn't live here again if they paid me.

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
When we first looked at the apartments they were very nice. Of course when we moved in they were still owned by AMLI, in fact that is why we chose them to begin with. Our first 6 months there were great and I even contemplating on staying more then our year lease. We recieved a letter stating AMLI sold the apartment complex to another company. We soon got neighbors above us that partied every night. They were loud and my baby wasn't sleeping because of it. I don't mind a party every now and then but every night is rediculous and it went on until like 4 every morning. Then come spring we started getting ants, a lot of ants. Not where people would expect either. They were in the living room, the bed room, and the bathroom. I called the office several times and they said they would send the exterminator out and they never did. Our lease date was up June 12, 2006. We didn't recieve their "offer" to get us to renew until past the 60 notice to move. I complained to the managers and informed them I will not pay past my lease date. We moved out the end of May and I paid them up until the 12th. We just recieved a bill from them for $571.82. They are charging us 488 for rent from June. They didn't even take out what we had already paid. Then they also took our deposit which I assumed they would do. I called to tell them I would not pay and they said they would have to call me back. Besides all that the parking there is unbearable. I worked until 9 pm and I would have to park several buildings away every night. Probably due to the party upstairs.
