The staff is terrible, regardless of the owners. That place is cursed or something.

I lived at Regents Center for three years, and it changed management several times over the course of my lease. When I first moved in, they promised a $375 referral bonus for my friend who was a current resident. After I lived there a month, they claimed it was actually for just $275. What's odd is we both went in there to confirm the amount right before he subtracted it from his rent that month. They claimed it's not possible it was more than $275 because that would be discrimination. When I asked to talk to the girl who told us that amount (several times), they said she was at the hospital (probably a mental hospital) and tried to lay a guilt trip on me.
When I renewed the next year (what can I say, I hate moving) they tried to get money back from me for a coupon when I moved in. It was for $50, from their website. They tried to claim I couldn't get that offer because my friend got a referral bonus. The offer was for me, and the bonus was for my friend! Then they said it says you can't combine offers, so I checked the site and it said that. But there is a site called the wayback machine which can show you old versions of web pages. At the time I used the offer it did not say offers couldn't be combined. They reluctantly let me keep my money finally after a week of arguing about it.
At one point a maintanance guy stole a steak knife for some reason from my knife block. It of course ruined it because it was from a set. I think he used it to repair a door (thanks a lot jerk) and forgot he had it. He had also left his walkie talkie under my bed and I had to return it to them.
I moved out in the end of June and have yet to get my deposit back. By law they have 14 days and must provide a list if there are deductions if there are any. Otherwise they have 30 days to give you your full deposit. This is also in the lease. I still have gotten nothing and have threatened to take them to small claims court. It looks like I'm going to have to now.
