Although I've only lived here about a year, I am very happy with the staff, neighbors, and maintenance.
Yes, the complex is old and it has LOTS of dark wood (beams, columns, kitchen cabinets and paneling on the basement walls) it is by far the largest apartment you will ever find. For me, the space was worth it. It's also very well maintained and I like the added security with the double security doors.
No, it is definitely not a place for kids - college age or younger. You have to be 16 to be at the pool w/out an adult which is a hassle for those of us with kids 14 & 15 home for the summer. But it is a very quiet complex with lots of retired folk so it feels very safe and quiet.
