The townhomes were large for the price, but as they say..."you get what you pay for". I probably wouldn't have bothered to write a review becuase, as some have stated the maintenance problems and age of the townhomes are something you do tend to get used to. I did like the space so I overlooked some things while I was there. The leaky basement is probably still leaking. The AC is probably still tempermental, at best. Maybe the smell of smoke from the neighbor's kitchen fire that permiated the walls and carpets got remedied when I left. They finally started leaving warnings on the unlicensed vehicles parked in front of the complex taking up rare parking spaces. But the thing that prompted me to write a review is the fact that the management company tried to extract over $4,000 from me when I moved out. If I hadn't kept copies of my lease and move in inspections and been able to produce them during the negotiation process I would not have stood a chance. As it was, they backed off most of what they were asking for but then threatened to add interest charges from the date of move out, even though it was their representatives that would never return calls or answer letters when I was trying to settle the matter. It's a shame that greedly landlords take advantage of the public's lack of knowing their own rights, so I just wanted to send a friendly warning. If you live there, make sure you keep your lease handy and read every inch before giving notice. They require 60 days and the notice must be given on the 1st of the month...if it's given on the 2nd, you have to wait til the next month for your notice to officially start. They charge 18% interest for any money they say you owe them when you move out, so watch that too...it is in the lease so there is no way around it if you sign it. If you do end up settling with them for a lesser amount, make sure you do the math yourself and have them deduct the interest for the money you never owed in the first place. They will bend you over for every cent they can get out of you if you're not on top of your rights and responsibilities.
