If you like having your teeth pulled....

First we were promised new carpet when we moved in. This was not done and there were a great many stains. Also the carpet was not even cut right so it hung over the first 2 stairs on the way to the basement. This was the first problem. We moved in the winter time and 2 months after move in our heat stoped working. We sat in an unheated townhome for over 12 hours before anyone came to fix it.
Also the town home did not have enough power to run my computer and my TV in the same room. It would pop the braker every time I had both on.
When Summer came the upstairs living area would not drop below 85. The air ran night and day. The air unit was far too small for the size of the town home. But when the energy bill it was well over $350, and the management would not do anything about it. This happened for 3 months in a row and we saw one person come to look at it (and that was after 10 calls to the office about the same problem).
Parking was always a problem here as well. Unless you have a covered spot you will never find a place to park.
The walls are paper thin. I could hear the people next door talking, not yelling, but talking clear as if they were standing in my room.
The grounds were not keep up at all. There was always a huge mud pudle in front of our door and no grass to speak of.
While living here one of the townhomes across the street was robbed, and pizza man was robbed, and there were always less the questionable people hanging around outside.
This has to be the worst part. 2 months prior to moving out each of us were called from the office to ask if we wanted to renew the lease. We said no and were told that we would need to come down the to the office to sign some papers. We were not told when this needed to be done. When gave our 30days notice they said it needed to be 60days and that they had signed us up for another 12month lease even after we said no and charged us for breaking the lease.
When it came time to move out we were charged for the carpet (that should have been replaced when we moved in), cleaning fees (we were told that their was no atempt to clean the place at all, when both me and my room mates spend almost a week doing just that), and a list of other charges that didn't make any sence....
bottom line: You pay for what you get most of the time, and others (such as this case) you don't get what you pay for at all.
