The most notable perk about Sheridan Ridge is by far the sq. footage; they're indeed the cheapest in JC, while offering finished basements. My 1st yrs. lease is yet to be renewed & I've already been looking elsewhere; the overall quality has been considerably low. Parking is a nuisance: neighbors frequently allow guests to fill remaining spaces; we're often forced to park alongside the frontage road, behind our unit; management sends out periodic notices, but w/out any direct reinforcement. Noise level is a problem: weekends & evenings are enduring; we often have trouble sleeping, due to neighbors entertaining late night guests; parties spill out onto OUR front porch, leaving cigarette butts & beer cans to pick up the next day! Interior maintenence & construction is poorly kept: PLUMBING IS A MAJOR ISSUE; a sewage back up caused several basements to flood; as a result, management sent out letters to inform residents that they may be liable for damages (given we interfere w/ carpet drying); management never inquired about our personal damages (we lost several items, including a $750 furniture piece). Toilets overflow easily & water pressure w/ faucets don't working properly. Basements tend to flood OFTEN, during washing machine use (verified by other residents, in separate buildings also!). PEST CONTROL is 1 of the most intolerable problems: To my knowledge, Sheridan Ridge only services units by request; they send out a monthly newsletter w/ pest control service dates, to give the opportunity to the resident to call if needed & make an appt. w/in the given time frame. ALL other properties I've inquired w/ automatically service each & every unit monthly for PREVENTITIVE maintenence. I'm utterly disgusted w/ the unsightly "pests" I come across everywhere, from the lower level to the main level. WE MAINTAIN A CLEAN HOME, however I cannot speak for neighboring units. The staff was friendly in the beginning, when there we're no complaints to converse about; now we choose to avoid them altogether, unless absolutely necessary. I personally cannot recommend Sheridan Ridge to anyone.

High employee turnover, large cockroaches, no parking rule reinforcements to help the people actually paying for the place, basement flooding, suspicious fires, frequent police visits.When you ask for help from management you get the feeling you are just annoying and irritating them. I agree, they are friendly when you don't complain....but wait til you have a problem or are moving out. There are all kinds of "damages" you didn't know existed. If they would put as much effort into keeping quality renters (people who pay their rent on time and don't have wild parties) as opposed to advertising for new renters and offering you gimmicky rent discounts if you "refer a friend"--they might not have as high of a turnover rate and less complaints like these. I would not refer a true friend to this complex if I wanted to stay friends.
