I moved into Signature Place last year, right after Capriet took over, and it has not been a pleasant experience. The managementin the past few months has changed several times, and not for the better. The office staff needs to take a class in customer service. They are only polite in your face, but on the phone it's a different story. The office is constantly closing early and getting in touch with the manager is next to impossible. She is never there and the one time I did catch her in the office the leasing girl basically told me that she didn't want to be bothered. They do a great job at getting you in here, but once you are here that aren't very concerned with keeping you here. Many of my neighbors have the same complaints if not worst. The rent has grossly gone up and I will not be renewing my lease. It isn't worth it. They have no reason to raise their prices to the same as those apartments that are newer and nicer.

A response from a former resident; You are absolutely right. I knew things were going to go to hell there as soon as Capriet bought the property. To all prospective and current residents, I suggest you insist you have the office have your apartment inspected by a responsible, professional 3rd party at their expense, (not their maintenance staff that played the inbred cousin folk in the movie "Deleverance), for mold. I had an infestation of black mold in my apartment from frequent leaks and flooding and am still suffering respiratory problems from it. My dog died suspiciously after we vacated, perhaps due to the same issue. I have an engineer's letter as proof of the presence of black mold; known to be dangerous.

I am in a Capreit apartment in Des Moines, West Point Apartments. All that has been said is true. What I want to add is that I have never been cheated and stolen from like the Management here. They are determined for me to pay an extra months rent and not stay in the building.
