The on site Management at signature place is terrible. I moved in 1 yr ago with 3 friends and we all had seperate appartments. We have all had bad issues with the managment there. They come across friendly when you are looking but after you sign the lease be prepared for trouble. I was the first to move here and they offered a plan that would give you 250 for each refferal after the reffered renters stay 6 months. I went to the office to claim the money for a credit on my rent and they informed me that their corperate office would not pay. When we asked for the corperate number they would not release the contact information to us. They are also very rude. As others have stated below they interupt and offer no solutions to any issues you bring to their intention. When I went to the office to see about renewing my lease they informed me the prices increased and addtional 30-100 dollars per month depending on the lease I signed with them. Funny though as the person that got their lease renewed right before me recieved 100$ decrease. Please think twice before entering into a contract with these guys as you do not get what you pay for. right next door the price on a similar place was 200-300 per month cheaper.Keep in mind the other apartment is les than a block away. I hope their corp managment sees this as I have no other way of reaching them. Thanks Signature Place!

The owners "this week" of Signature Place is Capriet Inc. The parent company's name, (check spelling), is on one of their signs as you enter. Search under that name on the internet and you'll find they've had trouble with the Better Business Bureau in their home office area as well as locally. I lived their for a couple of years. My apartment flooded twice due to faulty construction. I have an engineer's report to back this up. The flooding ruined a 6k oriental rug which they refused to compensate me for. My rental insurance would not cover my loss because they basically said that the engineer's report indicated that the building was sh-t. I also had black mold in my apartment, which as you probably know can kill. I still have breathing problems due, to what I suspect, was the black mold. I also went without carpet for weeks after they took it up after the floods, forcing me to spend an outrageous sum for an apartment without carpet. Of course, I recieved no compensation. By the way, it appears that most of the home office staff at Capreit are LAWYERS, which gives you some intent of their integrity and concern for their tenants. If I were you, I would go to the office and insist on a PROFESSIONAL MOLD INSPECTION. Do'nt let one of their Gomers do it. They can hardly change a light bulb. You can also contact the attorney general of Kansas, the Better Business Bureau of Kansas City, and the city of Overland Park. Yes, some folk are pond scum and need to be handled as such. Is the 600 pound manager still there?

No the manager here now is new. She contacted me after this posting and answered some of my concerns. She seems to be nice.I am still waiting to see if I will get my refferal money back. This money would really help right now so I hope this happens. So there is a black mold issue here? This concerns me. Where was the mold problem at.
