This apartment complex has gone through TOO MANY management changes since I moved in. I transfered here in 2006 and this place was a quiet, well-managed little secret nestled between nice residental neighborhoods. Since the sale of this place to the new corporate management however things have truly changed, some for the better but mostly the worst. The rents went WAY up once the new management company took over all kinds of improvement promises were made, but few were kept. There is an office with computers, however the computers are ancient & they don't always work. No printers are available anymore and even when they were they didn't work, paper was never available or there was no ink.

The office staff that was here when I originally moved in were great! Extremely friendly, helpful & nice to deal with. Since the buy-out this has not been the case. There is one exception. The only remaining original Capreit staffer Stephanie. She has always been professional, friendly and helpful to me. The others were downright nasty, rude, condescending B**ch's. The good news is they have been fired or had the good sense to leave! Stephanie & Jen are there now. I am not that familiar with Jen, but she seems very friendly. I have personally been here through 4 office manager changes, each one nastier or crazier than the next. The present manager seems to be very professional & sane... maybe she'll be around for a while''' One can only hope.

Maintenance has never been an issue for me. I call, He's there immediately and it is fixed or replaced. He is always courteous and friendly, ALWAYS knock first and leaves a note to let me know he was there if I'm not home and locks up when he leaves. He has even come out late at night to repair my heating unit that went on one of the coldest nights this winter! I really appreciated that since I have kids.

Another bonus is the pool area!! It is one of the nicest pools I have seen in the area complexes & they got all new patio furniture, it is well maintained (except for the hot tub which never seems to be hot) and nicely landscaped.

I have had some issues with noisy, drunken neighbors, and ones that don't clean up after their dogs and leave poop right in front of my door - gross! - but when I have complained the issue was resolved quickly.

Some of the reviews on here are not accurate and are from disgruntled former tenants so of course they will make it sound like the worst place ever to live. It's not. I know who alot of them are.

I don't know if I would totally recommend Signature Place to a friend at this point simply because of the management issues. That alone leaves a bad taste and has ruined the reputation of this complex. Once they get that straightened out, I think this place has alot of potential. I have enjoyed my stay here. I am moving this year - but only because I need a bigger place.

did the new manager write this...talk about a wacko... and S........ is addicted to drugs and drinks on the job. I know that for a fact. She is always hungover and smells like alcohol. She hides under her desk when prospects come in. Who are we fooling? Don't move to HELL. And the regional is a fat, liar. She is the true psycho. If she only knew how S*******e really is. But...she thinks she is the greatest, though she has a boyfriend who smokes pot in the apt and the neighbors are privy to this. S******** is fake as a fake implants. If only CAPREIT would see this themselves, but I guess when the regional comes into town 1 every 3 months, she really isn't doing her job

No Jackass, The new manager did not write this. You don't know the who new manager is b/c you don't live there anymore. AS I said, disgruntled workers & tenants will right b/s. I know who you are. And I know who you are refering to. You need to get over yourself and get a life.

I have to agree with the first post. I have lived here for three years now. I have had a few problems with previous managers. It is time for me to renew my lease so I went and spoke to the new manager. We were able to reach a deal cutting the amount they were going to raise my rent by more than HALF! I don't think these apartments should be written off yet. I agree that the maintenance hs always been quick and professional, so has Stephanie for that matter. The current manager seems to want to keep her current, and loyal renters, which is a switch from last year. You will not find a nicer apartment in this sort of neighborhood setting anywhere in Johnson County. If you doubt me look...I did.

I have lived here for over 6 years. The new manager is just as bad as the other managers were and I'm sure she will be gone soon, like everyone else in the office. Yes, Capriet is very incompetent and inept at running this place. They go through office staff like a alcoholic goes through cases of beer. I have had a few dealings with the mismanagement here and as soon as my lease is up I am gone, like many of the long term tenants here. The only reason I stayed for another year was because the previous manager offered me a deal that cut my rent. Maintenance is good, it's the office screwing things up as usual that causes the headaches. As far as Stephanie, she is a very nice and sweet girl, but is not management material, at least not at this time. I have never seen her drunk or hung over and she has always been professional, inept, but professional. Hopefully in time she will learn from her mistakes and improve her performance. However as most long term residents would advise potential tenants, look elsewhere.
