Compared to some of these other reviews, I have not had many problems at Skyler Ridge. I was told (by a flier on my door) that my hot water would be turned off for a day or two. If it ever was turned off, it was only off during the day because I've never had a shower without hot water. I guess it just depends on which building you live in as to how much repair was needed. As for the noise issue, I live in one of the buildings right off Metcalf and I have absolutely no noise complaints. I don't ever hear the traffic noise, and I have only once or twice heard noise from my next door neighbors. Parking is a bit of a challege, however. The row of uncovered (free) parking is usually full if I ever come home after 7 or 8 p.m. Only one of the covered parking spots is rented out, so half of the lot in front of my apartment is simply wasted space that no one can park in unless they pay for it or want to get towed. My only maintenance concern was that my dryer kept going out. Every time I called they sent a repair man out, but every time he came he left a note saying nothing was wrong. After 4 or 5 times they finally broke down and brought me a new dryer (new meaning "recycled"), but the repair men left quite a mess for me to clean up, including black scuff marks on the kitchen floor. I haven't had any problems with the management. I guess it just depends on how you approach situations. If you are rude and demanding, I wouldn't expect you to get a very nice reaction. Overall, it's not a bad place to live. Yes, improvements can be made, but my experience has been ok.
