I agree with the last comment posted, that the apartments are not the most luxurious, but they aren't trashy either, they are inbetween. If you are looking for overall value this apartment complex is a good one. You get a decent sized apartment in a nice area at a reasonable price. Similar sized apartments in the general area will run anywhere from $100 to $200 more per month, however, they are generally newer and have nicer ammenities.
I have only been here since January, but so far every time I have spoken to the people in the office they have been friendly and have tried to take care of my needs and for the most part have done so in a timely manner. We had to have several little things adjusted when we moved in, but I don't see how maintenance could have possibly identified the problems prior to us moving in. Maintenance hasn't been quite as fast as I would have liked, but our problems were fairly small in nature and I understand that sometimes bigger problems take precedent. I do think the apartment cleaning could be improved. When we moved in we had about 1/4 inch of dust that had accumulated on our ceiling fans that never got wiped down before we moved in.
Management is nice and since our apartment is next to the office I notice it seems someone is there all of the time. They really try to help create a positive community. In fact, on a morning that was around zero degrees they were out serving hot chocolate to people on their way to work. That impressed me.
As I mentioned before, so far so good. I will write back when my contract is getting close to expire and share if I have had any changes in opinion.
PS - Parking is no problem for me, never been to the playground so don't know about the kitty litter comment and mailboxes are a bit inconvenient, but I don't mind too much. I seldom hear any of my neighbors so I don't have much problems with that. However, we are on the upper level so I don't know what it is like for those below us. Workout facility if very unimpressive unless you like running on a treadmill. The games in the room are fun (ping pong and air hockey...a pool table would be nice).
