Detailed Review of Problems

Detailed write-up
This place is marginal at best. When sentinel owned this property is was great. The new management is not so great. The girls in the front office have very little idea of the contracts or how to go about using them (they wanted me to come in on another day to fill out for a termination after the first of the month because the thought it would get lost before the next month It was only after I raised a fuss that they decided it would be ok
They have pet rent (which is joke because of the cleaning that is done)
We got into the apartment, we have had the washer machine buck really bad (they replaced the balance ring twice) they have also had to recharge the AC compressor twice (it Ice s over constantly, causing a large puddle and making loud noises in the middle of the night) they have changed the seals around our dishwasher once (this was three service calls to figure out why water was all over the floor) the stove burner element shorted (we waited a while for the part).
In addition when we got into the apartment it was dirty (showers were not clean fans missing the pull cords, walls were not painted (gouges and marks everywhere) carpet was near shot. I ended up poking a hole in my heal, because carpet installers did not take the time to pound down the tack strip completely.
In addition they use part of the parking lot as a lie-down area for mulch and garbage (not a can but a huge skid dumpster (again an eyesore). And the preventive maintenance sucks (there isn t any) Not sure what happened with the burnt out apartment last week, but makes me wonder why the electrical is boarded up.
(again no communication from complex management, you would think they would at least inform residents of what happened to alleviate any concern, even if only to say they are looking into it)
If you use the car ports note that bird poop will destroy your paint and that the apartment will do nothing to help with this. This is why in some area s parking is always full (This is why allot of tenants chose not to park under there own carport) Which creates hassles with parking, in all of areas (again management should require use of these assigned areas where this is an issue)
The pools are always cloudy as from what I understand there is no pool cleaner (they have their overtaxed maintenance guys do this, so they always are in poor condition)
Word about the maintenance guys, They are nice guys (all the ones I have dealt with) The work orders that are put in are completely inept (the people in the office do a horrible job of relaying and thus the poor service) Have them call you directly if possible and cut the office out of loop completely. It make the experience much more effective
They say they have a business office. Note the one on the north side is locked and being used for storage (which wasn't the case when I moved here), the one on the south side is there but the fax service doesn t work (and when it does not well) So if you need to fax you will need to go to the north side and have the office staff do it for you (again at there convience and when they decide they should be open)
Another note if you are doing business. They say they are open during there hours but they take lunch (so it may be hit or miss if they have decided to lock the door and eat) If you are used to a real luxury apartment this is not professional. The only time this is acceptable is if someone is out showing a property, there should always be someone manning the office though for phone calls or business.
As for deliveries, If you do any business with FED-EX or UPS they will not under any circumstance accept boxes upfront for you. The last management did. This new managment decided that they would not, but conveniently decided not to tell anyone in the complex until after the decision. Instead we got notes that we could pick our packages across town at the UPS facility in Lenexa.
Again luxury apartments do this, Lionsgate does not. This is another example of the lack of communication.
The business center is not open 24/7 like most or like it used to be. 9-8 is all.
The fitness center is no longer open 24/7 like it had been when we first moved in. same hours as business center
They have a trash can that they broken the concrete with that has not been fixed in at least the last four months (they leave it in the parking spaces as an eyesore and taking up client/tenant parking space)
In addition to all these problems, expect that if something goes wrong you will have to be calling the office staff multiple times to get resolution. They either forget to write it down the first time or something because it never gets to maintenance until the second or third time
The lights out-front of each unit (the ones that go over the number for the apartment section you are in) the ones that fire/ambulance etc... Use to help locate you are always out (drive through at night take a look)
They have a garage on the north side that someone backed into 2 month ago that destroyed the pillar (they just left it, again another eyesore in a luxury apartment)
The walk way around the lake acutally goes though one of the breezeway's for the complex, and the part over by the trees is never maintained (there has been a broken our light with wires hanging out of the top of it since I moved in.
From what I have talked with my neighbors they have all had similar experiences
I expect allot of them will be moving
I would not have done this, were I to do it again
These are my experience take them for what they are worth
Thanks for reading
