Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
We moved into a 3br/2bath apartment and we noticed a few things right away. First of all with 3 people living here you cannot take 3 hot showers in the morning no matter how quick you jump in and out. The water heater is tiny and pretty much worthless. Even if you are taking the second shower plan on the water running cold about 2 minutes into it.
The air conditioning is sub-par and the maintenance guy even said that the unit is too small for an apt our size. We have had several problems with wiring and it takes several phone calls and even written letters to get qualified techs to come out. (Maintenance guys are great, they tell you the truth but they can only do what they are instructed to do by office staff).
Insulation is bad, the windows and doors let in the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter.
The front office staff appears nice at first glance but after you say hello they send mixed messages and then deny things they say after 30 seconds. There have been repeated times in which we have been told several different things about minor matters regarding carports/garages. It seems that they make up rules or they just don't have a clue as to what is going on.
Very odd bathroom layouts and lack of electrical outlets in each room. Counter space in the kitchen is small as well as the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms.
Those are the negatives, here are the positives:
When there are small maintenance problems the maint. staff is usally there first thing in the morning if you put in a work order over the internet or call in the night before. Maint. guys are great, nice, and very helpful.
Fairly quiet in our building, no complaints there.
I don't want to come off completely negative but this is the 3rd apt complex I have lived in and it is definately my worst experience to date.
