After requesting to resign a seven month lease, the wrong lease was written up. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they supposedly corrected the problem. A new lease was created and we signed the correct lease! Now, when we are trying to leave at end of the lease we requested and signed we were told we would have to break our 19 month lease! This couldn't be correct because the lease we requested was up. They filed the wrong lease in our file and are expecting us to pay them to break a lease they supposedly shredded. When this problem was brought to the manager's attention he talked as if he didn't care and proceded to tell me what I was legally binded to. They made the mistake but weren't about to admit it. The management for fogelman is careless and unprofessional! The service is terrible. It takes days if not weeks to get them to complete maintenance requests. We requested for them to replace our blinds that our puppy ate and it took two weeks for them to complete the request. We even paid for the blinds. They lost the first request and obviously were in no hurry to complete the simple five minute task, so our apartment was exposed to anyone who walks by. I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone who values their investments or service! You are not getting quality product for the money you are spending!

Two things interest me about this post. 1) How do you not have copies of the "correct" lease you signed?? I would think the second you furnish them with a copy of a signed 7 month lease all of those problems would be solved. Yes, its absurd they filed the wrong one, but its also absurd that you're not practical enough to keep copies of your lease. You probably throw away your credit card statements too. And 2) YOUR puppy ate the blinds, YOU bought replacements, YOU admit it is a "simple 5 minute task". Why don't YOU just fix them yourself. It's YOUR fault they're broken in the first place. I've lived here for about 8 months and, yes, I've had some problems with management and maitenance, but its nothing new no matter where you go. Anyone who takes these "ratings" seriously needs to understand that people are most inclined to speak up about a place they rent when things go bad, never when things are good. I'm not management, I am a regular resident at the Preserve with regular apartment problems just like everyone else.

so lets publicly handle business on ur reveiw board oh mighty preseve really grown up rnt we. if you think its cool to treat coustomers with such disrespect then i have news 4 you my wife and i have paid your rent on time 4 the 2 years weve lived here. we have requested maintenence twice yes it is a simple task that {im paying 4} 4 get the lease you obviously dont pay 2 much attention 2 ur legal documentation either. our lease should have been reveiwed atleast b4 it was filed away. 700 to break ur lease wont hurt my pocket as much as you would probably think at the end of the day we r still unsatisfied coustomers. quit beating up on ur business{coustomers} and remember we r paying 4 our services requested even if it means 2 kiss my ... back up and get ur act 2gether

I too am having issues with the Preserve not taking legal responsibility. I have a copy of my lease in hand and they are telling me that I am wrong! They want me to pay for 8 more days than my lease states. (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.) They also do not have a clue as to how to handle any issue. Each time I call, I am told that the person I need to talk to is either out or not available. Someone in that office needs to know how to run a complex. (Really not that hard.) DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU PLAN ON EVER MOVING OUT. They will charge you for more days and they do not care about the legalities of a lease. (Make sure to keep yours on hand!)

I too have many issue with these guys. Managment people are totally mean and ready to blame tenants.

they also screwed me with my lease! I was told when I moved in that my lease was wrong on the 60 day notice and that I had to give a 30 day notice before I moved out. Then, one month before my lease was up, I turned in an official statement that I planned on leaving since I had SO many problems with ants everywhere and rude dense girls half my age "running" the office. When I turned my form in, they said I needed a 60 day notice and I was not their responsibility to "babysit". I was furious! They made me pay month to month for 2 EXTRA MONTHS! Why? I'm still not sure! I ended up pay well over $1600 dollars for a mistake they made! I hope other people had better luck than I did!
