I've been here for about two and a half years....where do I start' I don't really feel like listing all the details of my many bad experiences here, but for what it's worth, my warning to potential renters is that you STAY AWAY from here! These buildings are very old and practically falling apart (I've lived in two different buildings) The heating/cooling is very old and inefficient, thus expensive. (For example I spent an entire summer (during the last months of pregnancy, I might add) with the a/c running 24/7 and my apt did not get below 85 degrees during the day. "It's working fine." they told me, "Just keep the blinds closed" And thus they refused to fix it. It's a similar story during the winter, I'm afraid). In both my apts the ceiling was almost about to burst due to leaking from the roof (we were forced to move because of this) and they are just patched up poorly time after time. It's pretty difficult to get timely maintenance help here as well. The walls are so thin that you can hear peoples' conversations and doors opening/closing and water running and so on. I've had a few good neighbors but there are A LOT of trashy, inconsiderate people here, in addition to the theft and vandalism which I have also experienced. There are other things as well but I don't feel like listing them all. Hope it helps someone :)
