You don't get what you pay for

I pay a reasonable amount for a 2 bedroom apartment and it was NOT worth it. After being here for 7 months, I am told the rent will go up $200 a month if I renew my lease. Not sure why the extreme price hike, but I'm guessing it has to do with the major pool renovations they had done this year. The pool opened 2 months late due to the renovation and the management is pawning the price off on tenants.
Carpeting is cheap and the paint in the apartment is a BAD job. Laminate flooring is a dark marble color and it doesn't match the rest of the apartment - guess it was on clearance when they bought it. Pointed out things that needed to be fixed upon move-in and none of them got fixed until 3 months later.
The worst part was all the BUGS!!! The apartment is old so there are lots of places that bugs can come in. We have them spray once a month but it has no effect from what I've seen. I've never lived anywhere that spiders liked as much as Town Center. We put sticky traps around the entrance points and they come in and fill up the traps in no time!
The buildings are also in MAJOR need of paint. The trim on most buildings is peeling off and the shutters on buildings have either fallen off or are in the process of.
If you can put up with this, you can live here. It's convienent to most shopping and highways, but the pitfalls have outnumberd the pros for me. We're moving!
