Cruel to animals

Treetop Lodge has placed body-gripping traps to catch and kill squirrels residing in the area. PETA has recently tried to offer help in stopping this cruel killing by offering humane alternatives to get rid of the squirrel problem. Property manager-------------on wants nothing to do with their help. Instead of fixing the holes in the roof that are attracting animals they would rather kill them. At least you know that your rent money is going to someones pocket instead of fixing holes in a roof. Might as well take the cheaper way out and just kill the animals and atract more with the traps. Problem not solved.

i agree I loved this place before NOLAN took over. And before-------------on came to the commmunity. It was a nice apartment complex that was country away from home. Whatever happened to the Name TREE TOP LODGE Um there are squirrels in trees arent there??? And for pets they just hardly tolerate them. I was outside with my son when he saw the poor squirrel dangling from the roof. We had name this one cause we have watched him since we have been here. My son yelled Bobert and pointed. Sure enough we were watching him die. At first I thought it was a light he was caught on, but no it was a trap. And oddly enough, The TREE TOP LODGE staff came out on a sunday (which they are not open) just to put up more. I look out my window now and can see these poor little creatures hanging off the roof dead, or fighting for there life. I will be contacting PETA in hopes that some protest will come out of it. I also have proof with pictures. I will never let anyone I know move in here.

WOW these people who wrote these are ignorant! These squirrels are eating into the building and keeping me awake at night and have chewed on wiring. I'm glad my place hasn't burned and I'm so glad they are getting rid of the squirrels. They won't come back if they are dead. Thank you I can sleep. What does PETA do? besides cry and complain about things they don't now much about. They tried live traps and caught nothing! Squirrels are rodents/RATS with a bushy tail. Do you cry when you see a dead rat or a box of poison for rats? If so maybe you need counsiling. These animals need to be controled because of damage they do, disease and insects they carry and spread and the sleep deprevation they cause! As for Bobert try teaching your kid about the real world or facts of nature. They will get over it better if you educate them properly.

Squirrels keep you awake at night and chew on wiring because they are inside, not because they are alive. Obvious solution: keep squirrels from coming inside by actually fixing the building you pay to live in. P.S.> You live in "Treetop Lodge Apartments" -- sounds like the PERFECT place for squirrels to me....

What is the deal?? You are renting.....you don't make decisions on how to solve the problem. Buy your own and have all rodents you like.....All roofs have been updated, tared and fixed. Treetop is a great place. Period!!!

That's right! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! Honest people that see the real world as I do. Those squirrels are a pain. last time I checked I don't have squirrels for roomates nor do I give them names!!!! They belong outside and if mamangement has to kill a few to make it a nice living experience then so be it.Even if it is on a SUNDAY. BTW you are really keeping tabs aren't you. Do you work? I don't see you openening up your doors in the winter time to give them a cozy place to nap by the fireplace are ya.... didn't think so.

To pickyone: I actually am not keeping tabs on this, I dont even live there nor have I ever, I live in San Diego. But my home in Ohio I pretty much have a pet squirrel, he or she comes up to my front door and sits and looks into the glass door until I give him some peanuts. Last time I checked im sure those squirrels were in the trees before they were torn down to make a low income housing unit for you. Managment should spend the money on fixing the building because squirrels repoduce like humans and they are always going to be there so maybe just fix the building.....ya think?

As a mother I would be horrified if my child watched an animal die because it would be just as cheap to patch up the holes as it is to kill them, if you take into account the time to hang them and pick out dead squirrels. I, as an adult, am not overly sensitive or heart broken when I see a dead animal but there is something horrible just thinking about watching something die. Maybe you need counseling if watching death doesn't affect you. Maybe if, God forbid, you became a parent you would understand. I can teach my son life's lessons without murdering a dumb squirrel, thank you very much. -------.
