Do Not Rent at Villa Monterrey
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 12/20/2006
Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2006
When we moved to Villa Monterrey several years ago, it was a lovely, quiet, gentle place to live and we looked forward to remaining here for many, many years. The management changed in October of 2005 and again six months later. Since that time, the property has deteriorated badly. We will be leaving at the end of our lease, and I know at least one set of neighbors who is also leaving as soon as possible.
Management is rude and dictatorial. Messages are issued from the office like communiques from a commandant's headquarters. These messages are filled with badly spelled words and terrible grammar. The over-riding impression is completely unprofessional. The management is rude and ungracious. Residents of the community are treated as if they are
an unfortunate but necessary nuisance.
In the years we have lived here, we have recommended the community to many friends, though we have long since stopped doing that. Two of those families did recently decide to rent an apartment here at Villa Monterrey. Both were put off by the unbelievable rudeness of the management, and rented apartments elsewhere.
It is our belief that Yarco, the management company is going to make Villa Monterrey into a subsidized government housing complex. We are leaving soon, and our advice is to avoid this apartment complex.
