All in all this is a good place to live,there are the normal problems(loud kids, parents not paying attention to them, some noisy neighbors)but for the most part this is a safe and peaceful community. The one major problem though is the overbearing Christian right attitude of the office staff(both manager and leasing agent). They give this aire of superiority due to their staunch christian beliefs system (give me a break) It gets old when you get a lecture for not following their moral mix (you are a single parent, a live-in couple, or not a bible beating fall on the ground, speaking in tounges christian freak. It is too bad if you are a normal person with a regular belief system christian or otherwise. They seem to forget that the bible does say judge not lest you be judged. But enough of my complaints about the office staff. The property is old but you cannot beat the space you get. The maintenace staff does try to keep up with the property and does a decent job of keeping things running. The trash around the complex has increased over the past year a lot of it due to parents making thier kids take out the trash(kids too young to get a bag as big as them into the dumpster)and just the sheer volume of it on the weekends. The groundskeeper does keep the property well kept for the most part. The best thing about this property though is the fact that in all the time I have been here there has never been any serious crime issues and it seems the staff does keep a eye on what is going on and tries to keep things from getting out of control.

I have lived at Villa Monterrey for over five years, and for the most part it has been a pleasant experience. With the new management, Villa has become a quieter place. I agree with the person who said that the apartments are very large, My two bedroom is 1330 square feet. I have a formal dining room and a fireplace. It feels like a house. Take the time to see it for yourself.
