I live here, and it does suck...

One of the worst feelings a person can have is that of being trapped in a lease, and at Whispering Hills, that feeling is shared by most all of its tenants.
Where to begin...
1)Terrible maintainence
Requests for maintainence aren't ignored, but nothing s ever fixed properly. The maintainence staff doesn't speak english, so it's hard to communicate with them. However, if you want to buy drugs, they are able to get the point across. Currently, the crew is refurbishing the individual buildings by putting PVC siding over the existing wood paneling, insuring that within 10 years each unit will suffer the kind of wood rot that will make the building beyond repair. Add to that the fact that PVC is extremely toxic, and it's clear that the owner of this property are going to let it go, and have no concerns for their tenants. Do a google search for "PVC" and you'll know what I mean.
2)Theft from apartments
Read the previous reviews, I won't bore you with a list of the things that have disappeared from my apartment.
3)Pathetic accounting
Every month, the management puts my statement on my front door. I'd really rather my neighbors weren't privy to my financial information, but it is nice for me to know which of my neighbors is behind in their rent. This is probably illegal, but the fine folks at Whispering Hills are only concerned with the bottom line. Late fees are added whether you were late or not. I wonder how much money these folks have made in this fashion'
4)Misleading sales reps
Like many other complaintants on this board, I was not allowed to see my apartment until I moved in. And like others, my unit was a disaster, and a far cry from the model. The appliances are nothing short of "skanky" and cannot be cleaned without the aid of industrial solvents. The plumbing/fixtures are the same, caked with crud and muck.
5)Heating/AC
My unit is as loud as a 747, and runs at all times. If you want your electric bill to exceed $150.00 per month, this is the place.
Of all the apartments I've lived at (this is my fifth apartment) this is easily the worst value. My lease was only a 6 month, so I'll be gone soon.
I hope no one who reads this makes the same mistake that I, and a host of others on this thread did, which is DO NOT MOVE HERE!
