If you are seeking a rental unit where you can sharpen your maintenance skills, this is the place for you. If you want excitement away from HDTV of the local news and want to view live performance of the Johnson County Sheriff's office along with the Overland Park Police Department, this is the place for you. I moved to this property in August of 2007 and from day one, I should have known better to have signed a new lease the following August; this is certainly my own error in judgment. When I did move in, I spent $312.00 out of pocket expenses to shampoo carpets, clean all the blinds, scrub the bathtub and not to mention the filth of urine stains left from the previous tenant. The unit had not been repainted and was told by the office that they would provide the paint and brushes, but I would have to do the painting myself. After submitting my first work order request on 08-09-07, I was paid a visit by a maintenance worker on 08-10-07 at 6:10am in my bathroom while I was taking a shower. I never heard the door bell, but only a voice stating, "maintenance"! Yes, I called the office, but I was given an irresponsible explanation. Over the course of two years, I have placed work orders which are not fulfilled, the latest being 06-27-09. The property's washing machine overflowed again and I had to perform the clean up on my own and now am dropping my laundry off to the cleaners. To this day, 08-19-09, no attention has been paid to this matter. However, I am not reluctant to take digit photos and videos for the sake of record. If you value the funds you earn in your profession and want an environment of what you portray in honesty in your daily dealings, this property is not for you. However, if you want to spend more of your hard earned funds outside of their lease states, this is the best place for you!
