I have been living here for almost a year, we just went in about 2 weeks ago to put our notice in that we will be moving out, they had told us you have to just turn your key in when you move out, however today they call to tell us we have to write a notice telling them and also we are now getting charged for 2 weeks into December because we never gave a written notice. When I called to discuss the situation, they claimed we had never went in there to ask in the first place... Then we had a situation in the past where it took them over 2 weeks for them to get my ac to work in the middle of the summer, when I had a 2 mo old at home! They claimed then that they took care of the problem as fast as they could because they had so many apartments where there ac's went out. First of all they shouldn't have let them go that far where they would all go out and secondly why is that my problem' They also said we never reported that situation. There has been so many little things as well. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place while it has this type of staff anyways! The maintenance however were great, can't complain about them. They always fixed things in great timing unless the office didn't say anything to them.

Sorry to hear all of this, for future reference make sure that when you turn in your 60 days notice; someone at the office put their initials and give you a copy of the document

for future reference when you move in you are given a several page lease agreement to look over and sign.. In every lease it states the time period to turn in a written notice to vacate. Maybe you should have read that before you signed it. Also when you moved in you probly realized that the apartment complex is not new at all and that there are hundreds of apartments within the complex and they ALL are older so the chances that you would have a problem with your ac or anything else are pretty large and with a maintenance staff of only a few (like any other complex) it might take a few days to get to yours. I also want to point out that work orders at any property unless it is a major prob (broken pipe, fire hazards etc) work order repairs are done in the order in which they are recieved. I want to let you know that I use to work at these apartments about 6 years ago and since have worked at a few in the kc area so its a little irritating to see that some people are just ignorant and can't read a legally binding lease! But hey it is good to see that you didn't stoop as low as to say that there are bugs, mold, crime or that the workers lose your rent checks or any of the other pathetic crap pissed of tenants make up on this stupid web site. I give you props for being ignorantly truthful!

Sounds like whoever wrote the post above "anonymous" is a current employee "staff member". I used to live in Whispering Hills and man am I happier than ever to have escaped that hell hole! There were nothing but PROBLEMS the whole time I lived there with the staff. Always lieing, deceiving, making things up and being fake as ever. I would rather live in a cardboard box then EVER rent from them again. Anyone reading this please take my word and run far, fast, away from this place.

This IS someone from the actual staff, the person above was not on the staff here at whispering hills. I usually do not respond to these as they are always from people who are angry, but in this case I would like to point out that we have worked very hard to turn this office around and there are many residents that appreciate what we have done. I just would like to state that this resident never submitted notice and we called to remind him to turn it in if he was going to be moving. We never denied that he came in, but he came in and asked what he needed to do when he moved out. NOT what he needed to do to submit notice and no one denied that he came in. We also gave him money off his rent 3 months after the A/C incident to help compensate for the situation even though the same staff was not here at the time that his a/c was out. Im also confused why they are stating that it took 2 weeks for maintenance to fix, but then they say that maintenance is wonderful and fix work orders in great timing? Im am truly sorry that the residents are upset about these situations and I hope they are happy in their new home. But I honestly feel like we tried to help compensate for the a/c issue that was NEVER denied it was reported, that is why I gave them money off of rent and if they were upset with the offer, then I would have been happy to come to some sort of compromise. We also called the residents a couple times to remind them they needed to turn in notice, it states this in the lease, and we sent a reminder letter 70 days before their lease was up. I just want to state that we are really trying to rectify the previous situations and handle the residents, prospects, and any customers with amazing customer service. Some situations arise, always will, and some people we just cant make happy. But the current staff here sure is going to try! Again sorry you were so unhappy and we wish you the best.
