Years ago, I had two friends and future roommate who lived at the Gorilla Inn. They were lucky enough to get a decent apartment which had been previously rented by one of the managers good friends. Through the years, I've known many people that rented here, and the results weren't that great.

The halls of the apartments were dirty and filled with dead bugs. If you don't lock your car every time that you leave it in the parking lot, you can expect it to be cleaned out when you return. These apartments aren't in the best part of town, with some of the worst housing in the area just a few blocks east.

Bills tended to be higher than you would imagine, due in large part to the poor insulation. The apartments generally felt dank and unwelcoming.

Recently, however, the Gorilla Inn has changed names, and I have heard that they are remodeling and are going to turn them into luxury apartments. This is an excellent idea, since their proximity to campus makes them a great place for college students--assuming that they clean the place up pretty significantly.
