I lived in the "UC" as a lot of people in Pittsburg refer to it; for two years. It was AWFUL. Sure they let you have pets, but they keep their facilities in disgusting condition. When we went to look for a place, they showed us a one bedroom that was MUCH bigger than the one we were assigned. And the wall that "divided" the front area from the bedroom didn't even extend to the ceiling. It's a glorified studio apartment and the kitchens are a 2X6 ft (being generous there) linoleum section in the front area. As everyone else as said, there are bugs ALL the time. They spray something like every two weeks, but we constantly had roaches; and not just the small ones either. The ones big enough to name as pets. Literally, several inches long. The cherry on top of the whole ---- sundae, was when our window unit stopped working in August. They took TWO WEEKS to replace it. Meanwhile, we're on the second floor and cannot open our window to get air in because the screen is missing off of it - which we'd reported a long time ago and it was never fixed.
Their "Maintenance" pager is given to some random college student they have hired as their maintenance man. It's a disgusting and awful place to live. I'd never recommend it to anyone who isn't looking to get herpes.
PS there are NO locks on their buildings' doors to the outside. Yep. NONE anyone can walk in off the street.

I always called the office, and if there was someone sent to spray again - it didn't do a bit of good.

Since you have lived here we are under new management and have a completely new maintenance staff. Also, if there are bugs in your apartment after being sprayed it is probably your fault or your neighbors fault. We tell all our residents that if there is ever a problem with bugs in your apartment you can call the office and we will spray your apartment that day and send the exterminator next time they are here. The hole in the ceiling is so that air can flow into your bedroom if you shut your door since the a/c is in the living room.
