Too many problems

I agree that these apartments are in a good location and look fairly nice on the surface, but give some careful consideration before renting here. The good location is far outweighed by many problems, some of which may not be noticed until after you've moved in. The most severe are ongoing leaks and mold. Most of the residents are elderly and feel unable to move somewhere else, so they are forced to endure a lot of problems despite paying extremely high rent. I personally knew eight different people whose apartments were flooded and heavily damaged by leaks. The management is defensive about problems and the brassy, inexperienced manager was very rude to my neighbor when her apartment flooded. It's true the apartments are outdated and in desperate need of renovations, not only decorative, but structural too. I lived upstairs and my floors squeaked and popped so badly that I was embarrassed to walk across the room for fear of disturbing the ill, elderly lady downstairs. My next door neighbor's floor was the same and I could hear her walking around constantly. I could also hear everything else my neighbors did, and was often awakened by squirrels, mice or some sort of rodents scratching inside the walls and ceilings. As another person noted, it's nothing like it used to be. The price was well worth it when the JC Nichols Company kept it like a five-star resort, but now it's worn out and falling apart and the excessive prices are nothing but a rip-off. I agree with the previous poster that there are other apartments within five minutes of the Corinth shopping area that are much more comfortable and less expensive too.
