I recently moved to Prairie Village & absolutely love the area. Unfortunately, the frustrations I have had regarding the maintenance in my apartment have overshadowed the experience. I have had more maintenance requests in my 3 weeks here, then with every other apartment I have rented combined. They take forever to get anything done, you have to continually follow up to make sure they actually get to it, and when they finally do, it is just a "quick fix". All the work I have seen has been sloppy at best. And then to add insult to injury, I have had to come home multiple nights to find that I have been left with a mess to clean up from the maintenance person, such as dirt, wood chips, & screws left about on the floor!! To me that level of carelessness is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! I am in management myself, and if any of my employees performed this poorly, let's just say they wouldn't be my employee for much longer. And, to top off the problems I have had with the maintenance, the apartment manager has been nothing but rude, defensive, and unprofessional. I feel I have always been nothing but polite and patient, but her overall demeanor is so off-putting, it is extremely hard to keep your composure and not sink to her level.
