Keep Raising Rent!

I have been here for 3 years, and each year they raise our rent 7%! This seems like a bit! On top of that, we are wanting to add a clothes washer and dryer. We were told we could do this, but we'd have to pay $1200 to add it, due to expensive 3 day plumbing. Even though we are willing to do this (are we crazy') - they are still asking for us to pay over 7% more on our rent! This seems greedy especially since we keep signing one year lease agreements. It really makes us want to move - putting money into making their apartment more appealing, and then raising our rent. Most of the units already have washers and dryers in them, but not ours -- and it's the norm all over the Kansas City area for them to have washers in the unit -, so their competition offers this option (for free.) It really makes us want to move, and certainly makes us NOT want to renew our lease! Our rent started at about $625, then went to $675, and now they want $725 (and add 70$ a month for 2 covered parking spaces!) Oh, and whenever you need anything fixed (like the stupid hanging blinds or the dishwashers, which are both 20 years old!) they CHARGE you! This is all new in the last 3 years, with a new management group, which SUCKS! Otherwise, this has been a GORGEOUS place to live, quiet, elderly tenents (we're young), beautiful club house, pool, gardens, we love it otherwise. But we will probably move. We feel taken advantage of!
