I moved into a two bedroom furnished on the SW side facing the golf course the beginning of July 2006. There have been some positive and negative things about my experience here so far.

The positive:

For the money I feel I'm getting an excellent value. I looked all over Johnson County for two months before I settled on The Greens and this is the only place I found that pays water, sewer, trash etc. All I pay is electric and internet service. They even pay for my cable tv and I'm getting most everything except for premium movie channels! The electric bill has averaged about $50. since July but I am not home 8.5hrs a day. I have found all of the amenities to be nice with the exception of the jacuzzi being somewhat noisy the one time I used it. The sauna seemed to work well. I haven't take advantage of the free golf passes because I don't own any clubs. The people in the office have always been friendly but I honestly have not had to deal with them much.

The negative:

I live on the first floor and the guy that lives above me can be noisy at times. I hear him walking all over his apt and it seems like he can't sit still! I only notice his footsteps across the ceiling but never really hear his tv or anything else. Just seems to be noisy when he is up and walking around the apt. My front door outside light will only come on if I also turn on the switch to my living room light. I have reported this numerous times and noticed they made attempts to fix it but obviously they are not sending an electrician because it has never been fixed. I basically gave up on reporting it. I just have to pull the chain on the ceiling fan light to turn it off or on when I want to leave the light on outside my front door. There is a substantial noise of water draining when my neighbor flushes his toilet. It's a sudden gushing of water going down the wall but I only notice it when I'm in my bedroom. Lastly, the parking just flat out sucks. If you don't get home from work until later in the evening, after 6pm. You might as well plan on parking farther away unless you pay for a carport. Don't plan on having any guests come over to use the fitness center. It is only for residents as I have been told. Guests are welcome to use the pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc... Also, you can't write a check each month for your rent payment. They require an automatic debit from your checking account. I didn't like this but was not given an option.

Overall I would say I'm pleased and I'm tolerating the negative things I have written about. My neighbors have all been friendly and I don't notice much outdoor noise at all on the golf course side. I haven't witnessed any crime in the area and have heard no complaints. My apt overall is nice in my opinion and the furniture and appliances seemed fairly new. I would definitely consider renewing my lease when it expires next year. I've tried to give an honest review, I hope this helps someone who is considering moving here. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
