Hampton Woods

 

I lived at Hampton Woods for a year.

I would never recommend it to anyone.

On the day that I moved in, when I walked into my bedroom, half of the blinds were laying on the floor.

This was sign "1".

Then I went to unload my stuff into the bathroom and noticed that there were holes in the cabinet floors...sign "2".

The thing that scared me and upset me the most was when a guy that was helping me move in looked at the door because it wouldn't shut all the way and saw that I was living in an apartment that had been broken into before.

You could see where the screwdriver had been shoved in to pop the lock.

I complained about the door multiple times.

Their solution' Put some more weatherstripping up! That'll work! WRONG.

My door would not close all the way the whole year that I lived there.

I had to always make sure I had the lock engaged so that the door was closed.

Also, my rent was very cheap...that's why I moved in...but my bills were OUTRAGEOUS! I ended up paying 500 for rent and then stack on another 300 in bills (water, kcpl, and gas) and then add to that all my other bills.

It was ridiculous.

I have never been so anxious to move out of an apartment.

Oh, the last thing that really got me...I was fined multiple times for setting my trash out early.

I had to be at work early in the morning, so I would set the trash out before I went to work and I would get fined.

My question...how did they know it was my trash unless SOMEONE WAS DIGGING THROUGH IT'!'!' And, I was setting it out 15 minutes early...

seriously.

DO NOT LIVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR OWN PERSONAL HELL LIKE I DID!!!
