Beware of this place

I have little good to say about this place. The office staff is rude and makes you feel like you are bothering them. So when it comes to getting repairs on a 20 year old place, it is done half a**. I moved in to a place that had dark stains in the matted dirty carpet. The whole place smelled like a dog kennel, pee stains everywhere. I called the office and after 3 carpet cleanings they decided if I put all my stuff out front they would replace the carpet. As crappy as a solution it was I accepted. At the same time my a/c unit was only cooling to about 83 degrees (electric bill averages 140 a month to keep it @ 72 degrees during the summer and winter gas and electric total about 120). They told me it was 90 plus degrees out side that is normal. So after them being out here 6 times that summer winter rolls around and my furnace kept shutting down. I had to call emergency maintenance every time because it was at night. Every time I called they would tell me they would be out the next morning, just turn my oven on and leave the door open that would take the chill off. Needless to say I am not an idiot and opted not to leave my oven on all night with the door wide open& They finally fix the furnace by bypassing the safety that was stopping the gas flow. Hmm sounds like the furnace was designed to have that safety shut off for a reason. But they didnt care, it saved them money. Next summer rolls around and they finally agree to replace the a/c unit. I was told by the installer that this one would be better but it was a bit small for the apartment. They said it was a 2 ton unit and this apartment should have at least 2.3 to 3 ton unit. So my electric bill went up even more, but my apartment does cool down to 68 now. I had a car port that I paid 25 dollars a month for that was always being use by someone else. After alerting that office they did nothing to solve the problem. I remember at least 6 phone calls about this and nothing ever changed. I eventually got rid of the port and just kept parking in it, but soon after that my car was tagged with a warning to not park there again or I will be towed. It seemed almost like a cat and mouse game that you have to play with the office. The property is very loud and filled with crime. In 2 years I have seen 3 or 4 cars that were left on blocks and the wheels stolen. So after all this messing around with the office it time to go. Cant wait till august to stop wasting my money on this place they want you to call home.
