When we moved in, we turned in our move in checklist, to list what was wrong with the apartment. The next day I got home from work, and there was a note on the table saying that they had come in and fixed a couple chips in the plaster on the walls. I looked at the where the chips had been, and they had left a mess of plaster on the floor that they had chipped off the walls. First off I was angered by how they entered my apartment without any notice. I was on a second floor apartment with a deck, and there was an outdoor storage unit attached to the deck. I tried locking the unit, and realized my key didn't work to unlock it. I called the office to have it unlocked. The next day came home from work and found another note on my table, that said that they unlocked the storage unit, but second floor storage units are not supposed to have locks so they didn't leave a key. Again they entered my apartment when I wasn't there, and since there is no space for storage inside the apartment, where else can I put my stuff' It wasn't like I had anything extremly valuable I was going to store, but I would still like to lock it. The apartments hired a crew to improve how the exterior of the apartments look, and the crew left tire marks all over in the grass, and nothing has been done to fix it. They also won't let you sublease to anyone, and you can't break your lease until you have been there for 6 months, and if you choose to break the lease it will cost you $2200. The manager when I was informed of this was very rude, she said "Well I guess you are in a big pickle, what are YOU going to do about it'" and just hung up. I could go on and on, do not live here.

Duh, breaking your lease anywhere costs extra, that's the whole point of them getting you to sign the lease!! They "trap" you in for 6 mo - 1 year or however long. Point is, DONT SIGN unless you plan on being there at least as long as the lease term.
