Hampton Woods

This complex isn't the worst I have seen/lived in. I try to balance out the affordability/age ratio when looking for an apartment. Additionally, it's hard to find a community that will allow you to bring your own Washer/Dryer units. This one does; it fit my budget; it looked nice. I think this community is great for a young single person. I haven't had horrible experiences with the staff. As a matter of fact, I had a fire there in January and they had ALL physical repairs done the SAME DAY! Now, on the other hand: The appliances are old (really old). My AC unit's coils were covered in an inch of dirt and dust that the maintanance person said had been there since installation. Temperature was very difficult to keep above 70 in the winter and below 80 in the summer. Very poorly insulated. Kitchen is tiny, but could work for a single guy/gal. I hated having the washer and dryer in the kitchen, but like I said, I just needed a place where I could bring my own. They do trash pickup which is very nice, but cats/raccoons love to get to it first. You weigh out the pros/cons for your personal situation. E-mail if you like! kris@tigerhq.com
