Hampton Woods was my first apartment after graduating from college and I would say the experience was "good."

1. The location of this apartment is not for someone who is a young professional or someone who is into a nightlife atmosphere. There is literally nothing close to this area for bar/entertainment wise. Also, it was frusturating working down by the Plaza and managment telling me when I signed my lease it is at most a 15 minute drive each day.

2. My one bedroom apartment was very nice...however very outdated. The weather stripping on doors and windows was coming undone. The windows were drafty. The kitchen appliances were very old. I too also had problems when I moved in with my screen door being filled with holes. The door connecting the living room to the balcony only remains closed if it is locked. I think it is time for Hampton Woods to put some money into the inside of the apartments!!!

3. Parking sucked!!! I work until 9:30 PM each night and I had to park 2 buildings away from my own. Many of my neighbors would have visitors over taking up numerous parking spots around my building.

4. utilities: here is a breakdown of my utility costs: ELECTRICITY: $28.00 (winter) $110.00 (summer: air conditioning set to 80 degrees''') Gas: $28.00 (summer) $120.00 (winter: heat set on maximum of 65 degrees.) Then you have to pay roughly $45.00/month for trash/water/service charge''' the utilities were a little rediculous and your heat and air conditioning will run non stop.

Overall, this was not a bad experience living in Hampton Woods. I think I might have continued to live here had it been closer to work.
