Friends don't let friends rent at Fox Run. It is a bad place pure and simple. It is an embarrassing place to have guests visit. The management is not ideal and maintenance is far from ideal. Management is actually very uninvolved--until it is time for your
lease to be renewed. Otherwise you dont get any kind of information on what is going on at the complex.

And when you check over the place when you move in and report problems and expect them to be fixed--the list is a charade and the stuff wont get tended to.

It is easy to hear a lot from the apartments next to you. Neighbors seem to have little consideration for others getting a good night of sleep. At least there is a high turnover in case a particular neighbor turns
out to be less than desirable. Then there is the frequent noise from trains on a railroad line just a couple blocks east along I-35. But even worse is all the traffic on Switzer. Traffic noise on weekdays can be considerable by 5am. There are a lot of businesses to the south and semi trucks chuck up and down that hill many times in the early morning.

The laundry facility in my building is a nightmare. Old and grungy equipment gets no maintenance. The basement laundry area should be condemned. Partially dry walled walls have graffiti, holes, but most importantly after every rain there are
huge puddles in the basement. The walls have large moldy areas. The puddles can stand for days. Empty beer bottles and other trash from tenants make for an even more lovely impression of the basement. The sink near the washers and dryers is normally full of lint and discarded laundry trash. If you are lucky a plastic bag is around to stash some of the grossest stuff.

A really telling sign of the type of management at Fox Run was when I got the first tour of the apartment. The person from the office only mentioned the laundry
facility after we were out of the building. So they know they have something to hide and are dishonest in their dealings with their tenants.

The parking lot and sidewalks do not get cleaned from snow very well. Piles of leaves can also be in your way trying to get into the building. Pot holes the size of basketballs are numerous in the parking lot
near some of the covered parking stalls.

There is a pond at the south end of the property that would be a pleasant place for a picnic if it was not for the trash around it and picnic tables dumped into the water. The tables have been there since at least
last fall.

Oh, and there is a tennis court near the east end of the complex. Nice big cracks in the cement and lots of broken glass around the edges that is a danger to anyone on the court.
