I've been living here for over 1 year now and are about to move out. Overall speaking, the environment is nice and safe, but the manager is really rude.

I started with a half year lease, and asked for a monthly renewing when lease expired. However, they put me in a one year lease. When I brought this up to the manager recently, thinking that it's part of their responsibility to put me in a wrong lease which caused the very expensive breaking lease fee ($1700 ). She said she remembers the thing but responded with some wierd words like 'our policy is changing day to day' and interrupt your talking from time to time with very rude attitude. Just makes me feel very horrible. I mean I don't expect to have breaking lease fee back since I consider its my fault as well to be so carelessly about checking the documentation before signing. But I really hate manager's poor cheating attitude. Everything else about living here is good but this one really pissed me off. So, just be careful about it if you decide to live here.

I am sorry you feel this way - due to the fact, by no fault of Pinegate Apartments, you had to break your lease. However, when I spoke to you about renewing your lease, the first conversation you asked to go on a month to month lease and I typed a month to month addendum for you and delivered it to your door. You then called me back and said you decided to renew for 12 months. At that time I typed you a 12 month lease renewal and delivered it to your door. You then signed the 12 month renewal and returned it to the Pinegate Office. I never said our policies change from day to day. I did not put you in the wrong lease you chose to sign the 12 month renewal lease that was sent to your door. If you had again changed your mind when you received the 12 month renewal to sign you should have immediately called the Pinegate Office and asked for a different lease term. Which I would have been happy and more then willing to give you. Our policies are in written in your lease agreement. You can either renew your lease, you can choose to go on a month to month lease, which takes you to the current market rent plus a $50.00 month to month fee, or you can choose to turn in your 30 day notice to vacate.
