Originally I was excited about how nice the place looked form the outside, and that they allowed dogs. But soon after moving in, I discovered that my apartment was infested with bed bugs (The worst type of infestation you can have according to the exterminator). I received over 100 painful, itchy, quarter-sized welts all over my body from their bites!! They live inside the walls and come out at night to bite me and drink my blood while I sleep. My NEW mattress is now ruined and my stuff is infested. I spent a week sleeping in a tent on my own living room floor to escape the bites as I waited for an exterminator to come. (She'll have to spray at least 3 times and even then can't guarantee that they will all be gone.) I found old, dried bed bug feces inside the electrical sockets, down in the floorboards and around where the previous tenants had hung a curtain rod proving theses bugs were here when I moved in. Additionally, I have had to have all of my clothing cleaned and pillows/bedding replaced.

My air conditioner broke down 7 times in three weeks due to old, unsafe wiring. I endured multiple days and nights without air conditioning during the hottest month of August. The fifth time it broke down a maintenance man shoved a 4inch iron nail into my fuse box to "allow the air conditioner fuse to connect" I was instructed by this person to push the nail upwards every time it broke down. I was told, after I complained twice about the nail, that maintenance did not want to enter my apartment to fix it until the bed bugs were sprayed.

One week later my AC broke the 6th time. Knowing maintenance would refuse to enter my apartment if I called them, I push the nail up as instructed. Sparks flew, and I was nearly electrocuted. I called the emergency pager and told them either they get someone over or I was calling the fire department. I was extremely concerned about having a fire. A different maintenance man arrived, cleaned the fuses, and restarted the AC. It broke down again that same night at 1am and permeated my apartment with a burning smell. I was so distraught and afraid of a fire that I stayed awake the rest of the night.

I have reached my limit of endurance. I'm afraid to sleep in my own home (I keep feeling little bugs crawling over me). I can't invite friends over for fear they will spread the infestation to their own homes. My time off has been spent cleaning over and over again to try to keep these bugs under control.

I asked the apartment complex to replace what I have lost because of these bugs, but they refuse. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
