Ok, when my boyfriend and I moved in here, it was our first apartment together, his first apartment all together. We had looked at probably over 20 different complexes in Johnson County, and when we came here and met Sherri... we automatically knew this was IT!! The price was great, the location was cute and the space was great (for a two-bedroom). Then... EVIL moved in!!! Suddenly Sherri was gone and there were three new people in the office. We've been here a while now and things that were promised in the beginning, still have not been done. They also falsely advertise out the wazoooo!!! They say they have a fitness center, a sauna and two pools... HA... The fitness center is so torn and all it is is basically a room with a weight bench in it. I think they just pulled something together so they could advertise a fitness center. The sauna... non existant! It hasn't worked since we moved in and that was about oh 11 months ago. They kept saying it was being repaired, but those are some extensive repairs to take almost a year. And the pools... well, last year both of them were open for about a month, then they closed one because it needed a pay phone hooked up next to it which was only supposed to take a week tops... it never opened again that season. Our porch is falling apart and no one's said anything about fixing it since we moved in. There are always cops here because of the area... AND NOW THE BEST PART!!! We have a friend that's an Overland Park police officer. When he found out where we lived... he laughed. From him, we found out that this complex also houses people discharged of the mental illness facility. NO JOKE!!! In our building alone, we have a guy who throws things and puts holes in his walls when he doesn't take his meds, an old man who roams the halls in the middle of the night screaming "Bill Gates... BLOOD BLOOD!" On my honor, I witnessed this at least 3 times, usually about 3am. So, in conclusion... DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! They lie, they make promises they don't keep, and Flower, the bi-lingual leasing agent... is the (pardon my language) biggest ----- I've ever met. Ask anyone who lives here and they'll agree, when Sherri was here it was great, since she left... it's the worst place I've ever lived, and I've lived in 7 apartments throughout Lawrence and Johnson County.

You r dead on! Management co changed hands, to Van rooy, and there policy is fill them apts up, with who ever wants to live there, Lisa is a big ball of joy, if you like a manager who could care less about u and is all about filling up a nasty shuthole! management co should be a shame of themselves, but all the care about is making money and screwing people over, For the love of God, don't move here!! Thats right there is no God at The Park Apartments, only -----!!!
