My husband and I lived at Pinegate after we sold our house about 7 years ago. My husband was transferred and we sold our house well before the transfer took place. Now we are moving back to KC and we had such a positive experience with Pinegate that we decided to take another look.
We traveled up here in February a few days after it snowed. As we drove around, we noticed several cars that appeared as if they hadn't been moved. One row of parking in particular, off the Flint side of the apartment's U-shaped street, looked like it was full of old, junky cars. The snow behind the cars had was still piled from the snow-plow and snow was melting from the cars, that obviously hadn't been moved. I gave it the benefit of the doubt because maybe the tenants who parked there don't drive in the snow (all 5 of them').
Anyway, we returned last week and the SAME cars are still there -- UNMOVED. Parking is at a premium at Pinegate anyway. When we lived there before, we were never assured a parking spot close to our apartment. Yes you have a garage, but if you have two cars, which quite a few tenants have, parking tandem behind your garage is a real pain.
Another thing we noticed was the clubhouse looked pretty shabby inside. Stains and torn upholstery.

We are sorry that you feel this way and have based your decision that we are "not recommendable" because of the car situation, believe me when I say we have been battling it also. The owners of the vehicles have been notified on several occassions, and to our knowledge there is only one left that has not been moved. We do have a policy that every car parked on property must move every three days. I have noticed that the tenants at fault have found a "loop hole" in our policy and have been trading spots on a regular basis, which makes it hard for us to enforce the policy.
My husband and I lived at Pinegate West for two years (with two vehicles) and never personally had an issue with the parking situation. I am sorry you had a bad experience.
As for the clubhouse, the carpet has gotten some stains due to the fact that it is used as a reception hall on occassion, however the carpet is cleaned regularly. New furniture was purchased for the clubhouse less than a year ago, so I am unsure what the "torn upholstery" is, but I can assure you we are unaware of it if there is any. I hope in the future you will reconsider us for your home if you find yourself moving again. Thank you for the constructive criticism.
