Pinegate West is okay in that they have a nice work crew and that's about it. Otherwise, someone has to enter your apartment about every 5-6 weeks for something or other. The carpet is getting old and the wood molding is scratched, painted on and is losing its veneer, not to mention the shoddy nail job. The heating and cooling are expensive because the doors and windows are not well sealed and the office staff SUCKS!!!!!!!!! They are the only aspect that really makes me dislike this place. The managers are incapable, careless and lazy. They have lied to my husband and myself on several occassions. Also the rent was expensive in the first place and then it was raised on us without any discussion. The pet "deposit" is actually a fee (i.e. non-refundable). I like my neighbors and the repair crew but that is about it.

I most certainly agree about the lack of sufficient insulation and the air leaks around the slider doors and windows. However, I disagree about the office staff; they have always been very courteous, friendly and professional whenever I had have any contact with them. As far as rent increases, the very few times in all the years I've lived here that the rent was increased, it was with the proper 30-day notice; in fact it was actually a 45-day notice.
